Oregano originates from the Mediterranean and is closely related to marjoram. The true Greek oregano is used to flavour tomato sauces, with strong pungency that even the seeds have that distinctive oregano aroma.

When to Sow Outside: In spring, 2 to 4 weeks after average last frost. Plant as late as 2 months before first autumn frost.
