LATHYRUS ODORATUS - Heritage Sweet pea Annie Gilroy (25 Seeds)

NEW

This sweet pea is a cerise magenta bicolour bred by Eckford in 1907. Brightly coloured and highly scented, it makes an effective garden flower.

LATHYRUS ODORATUS - Heritage Sweet pea Black Knight (25 Seeds)

NEW

This sweet pea is a Deep maroon/violet bicolour bred by Henry Eckford in 1898.

LATHYRUS ODORATUS - Heritage Sweet pea Captain of the Blues (25 Seeds)

NEW

Bright blue wings and purple blue standard, with mostly 3 flowers to the stem..

LATHYRUS ODORATUS - Heritage Sweet pea Henry Eckford (25 Seeds)

NEW

Bred by Eckford in 1904, when it won a silver medal as the most distinct sweet pea introduction of the year. Best grown under light shade, where the bright orange flowers contrast superbly with the green of the leaves, making a spectacular show.

LATHYRUS ODORATUS - Heritage Sweet pea Matucana (25 Seeds)

NEW

Matucana is sometimes cited as the original sweet pea. This is certainly incorrect, although the colour combination is very similar. However, the presence of four relatively large flowers on each stem betokens a much more recent origin. In fact, it appears to have developed from a garden escape, probably in the 1920s or 1930s

LATHYRUS ODORATUS - Heritage Sweet pea Miss Willmott (25 Seeds)

NEW

Bred by Eckford in 1900. A showy sweet pea with deep salmon pink flowers.

LATHYRUS ODORATUS - Heritage Sweet pea Painted Lady (25 Seeds)

NEW

This popular old sweet pea has a deep pink standard and white wings with pink veins. 3 or 4 flowers on each stem.

LATHYRUS ODORATUS - Heritage Sweet pea Senator (25 Seeds)

NEW

Senator was introduced by Eckford in 1891. It was described as being a chocolate stripe with a bold standard. This heirloom variety conforms fairly well to that description, but has, perhaps, rather larger flowers than might be expected from an 1891 introduction. In either case, it is a most handsome flower, and well worth growing.

Annual.
Sunny/light shade position.
Flowers in Summer.
